Arctic

It was our second time in Churchill, this time in the summer “hunting” for Belugas, and we saw tons of them. They were very playful and they even tried to tip our kayak. We met Angela and George who made our stay memorable. After Churchill we flew to Rankin Inlet in Nunavut. It is different Canada up there, as mom said felt like top of the world. We staid with Samantha and her family and they treated us to Jerky Caribou. First day we spent watching localĀ woman Cleaning seal skin, checking local Potter studio, seeing left overs from Nickel Mine and wonder around the town. We went for a day trip to Tundra and mom was going crazy seeing all the animals sculls and bones, she even brought a caribou jaw. We even saw natural Oil seeping from the ground. We love arctic, mom is trying to convince me to go up in the winter to -60. No!

Seismic Road Trip

Washington, Oregon and California, over 3000 km in 7 days. The theme of the trips was Mother’s Earth Seismic activity. We left Vancouver right after the earthquake in California, once we arrived the shake moved to Washington. Phew! Brief visit at Cannon Beach and hanging out with my class mates. Down to Californias Coast on 101 legendary road- tsunami escape route. Cool Blimp Museum; Redwoods National Park with the 7 meters in diameter tree, and where I was eaten alive by moskitos. Then east, to Lassen National Park with 4 meters of snow and few volcanoes. Then north to Crater National Park with the Clearest water visibility on earth: 44 meters; and finally to Mount St. Helens, which erupted in 1980, 2004 and 2008 and is still active. I was holding stones that were only 2 years older than me. Enjoy!!!

Baja California Sur, Mexico

Mexico Baja California Sur was mainly relaxing. We did meet some whale sharks and playful sea-lions which was my highlights. Visiting Cabos Arch was a must. I had chance to blow some glass in a glass blowing factory and ride some horses. I finally shoot my first youtube channel video which will be out soon. I joined foam pool party and had a ride in some sort of space looking ball. Besides that we had lots of sun time lying down and eating, we all came back bit bigger. We met cool couple with two dogs traveling around the world in the coolest truck ever…that triggered lots of talk šŸ˜‰

Colors of Peru
Peru, were you find every shade of colors. It was tough trip but with out 3 am daily mornings, late nights, cold nights, cold showers, hale, vicious mosquitos,Ā fire-ant attackĀ  and torrential amazon rain we wouldn’t see all the magical places and meet wonderful people. One day in Lima to meet up with Margo and Christian from Vancouver as In Vancouver they could never find time to meet šŸ˜‰ We started in Cusco, with Machu Picchu, where clouds were competing with us over the view but eventually they opened up. Rainbow Maintain at 5.200 m (the same as Mt Everest Base) was next and big failure on the elevation sickness but we made it, well horses helped. Moray and Mares was finally something more relaxing. Overnight bus to Puno in the sleepover bus with blankets, pillow, food served and TV, 30$ for 8 hour drive (seriously Canada you should learn from that). Staying on the floating island of Uros was priceless, walking, sitting, sleeping on straws was a blast with hot bottles in our feet to keep the temperature bare-able at night. Long day to Nazca Lines and all the UFO stories, Paracas National Reserve were my mom was in heaven picking up seal, birds bones and Ballestas Island with over million birds and we saw Penguins too. Finally- Amazon where mosquitos welcomed us right away. Three days in Amazon with two guides and Steve, cool guy working for Amazon LoL. Wildlife blew our minds, crazy big spiders, monkeys, toucans, thousands of birds and the highlight Sloths and hairless dogs. One night we staid in the amazonian village and one camping. We got introduced to lots of medicinal plants in the jungle, we even used natural iodine for mosquito bites ( this is why I have yellow marks on my hands).. ..and mom found monkey scull :)
Food in Peru is more than delicious ! Fresh Juices are the best so far I ever had. Enjoy the journey !
Polar Bear, Polar Bear
Churchillā€™s main attraction are Polar Bears. As much as we wanted to see them we also didn’t want at all, well in the town at least. Apparently they can charge super fast from 0-40 mph so no chance for me and mom. Churchill is mega organized, all the houses and cars have to be open 24 hours for potential escape. There is bear prison for the naughty one which comes to town and wander around. Close to migration season when Hudson bay get frozen, they are all released to go wander on the ice to catch some seals. There is bear patrol, alarms and people arenā€™t supposed walk around between 10pm and 6am. We were lucky to see over 18 of them, beautiful healthy looking creatures who looked as if they were ready to jump on and cuddle.

Churchill was special, our diet was based on pirogies in the best restaurant is Town called Tundra. We met super cool Polish lady Aneta and we spent great 3 days wandering around. I have feeling that we will meet again on another trip. :) But for now meet our fluffy creatures.
