Montreal was hot. It felt like a Vancouver heat wave! I saw my Tia Rosa, for the very first time. She is like a sister to my mom. They met in their early 20’s in London. Rosa is full of ideas, games and adventures for kids. We baked, cooked, played in the park, went shopping, malu malu (painting) with chalk, rode in the bus and lots more! On the last day we celebrated my mom’s birthday and lots of friends came with little kids. I had a blast, I learned to eat corn and ice cream like big girls do. Rosa practiced some Spanish and French with me and she picked up some Polish from me. I even supported student’s strike by joining all Montreal in hitting pots at 8pm. Aeroboat (airplane) flight was fun, I managed to thank Pilot for the ride. Mommy was using her fancy Instagram app for pictures. Enjoy!
Thank you Rosa and Jose for great fun in Montreal.

Last weekend we drove to Tofino. It was my first time on the big boat (ferry). Most of the days we spent on the beaches, I was even allowed to get my feet wet, and I loved running after the waves and running away from them. At some point, from excitement, I fell right into the water. Playing with sand was super fun, and after a few hours on the first day I just collapsed on the beach and couldn’t move. Dad carried me home, boy I slept well that night! On the second day we took an Airboat (Water plane) and we saw the gorgeous Tofino view, which put me to sleep by the end of the flight. On the way from our little Domek (Cottage house) we saw lots of Canadian flags which had me singing The Canadian anthem, with an extra ending…”hockey! hockey!”. My parents enjoyed it very much.
See for yourself, most of the pictures are on the beach, which I liked the most.
This time we went to Cabos in Baja California. I fell in love in the warm turquoise ocean, sandy beaches, local boys and mariachis. Most of the day I spent in the water, slowly getting better with my swimming. I saw lots of Pelicans…Well…I still call them “ducks”. My mom can’t catch up with my new tricks and skills as I am a toddler now and things speed up in my age. Parents definitely enjoy my vocabulary: Daddy, Mama (finally), Dziadzia (for Polish friends to understand – meaning Grandpa), Coku (cookie), Quack Quack (Duck), Sssssss (snake), Bat (bath), MeMe (cow’s milk), NeNe (mom’s milk), Shhh (shoes), pat (Ipad)…well that is for now…life is good. Bare with us, mom couldn’t decide on pictures so she has chosen 140 of them 😉
Together with my sister Amber and my parents, I took off for a road trip to National Parks in BC and Alberta. On the way we visited my great-aunt Terry and great-uncle Klaus in Kelowna. We had a great time. I tried to be a good girl and make the best impression and I think it worked 😉 since I was allowed to take their cats for a walk. Our next destinations were Banff, Jasper and Kootney National Park where we camped in a foldable home called a tent. We saw plenty of deer, 4 bears (you can even see one grizzly in a picture through my screams in the window) and plenty of mosquitoes which were funny as they prefer blood to milk. Seven long driving days and plenty of things to see and do. Bathing in the sink, eating next to the fire, walking on glaciers and jumping on the sleeping bags in the tent were my favorite things to do. We even went back to 1800 to explore those times. On the way home we found a Polish restaurant called Chatka, my mom was thrilled ..and she ate a lot. As for new tricks, I can stand by myself for a few seconds at a time, Hula dance with my hands, send kisses, play the peekaboo game on my mom’s iphone, talk on the phone and drink from a straw. Oh! and almost forgot I officially joined Kacy-Palmer KEEN fan club 😉 – prove on the picture.
We are back home. I really enjoyed Australia, there were lots of new things for me to learn. Our home was on wheels and each morning there was different view and temperature. For the first few days mom put all the clothing she had on me as you can see on the pictures it was very cold, I could even see my own breath. The last week however was super toasty and I was allowed to sleep only in my diapers. One thing I like the most about Aussie land is that they allow babies to stay in the car seat at the front facing forward, so together with mom and dad we were sitting in front of our moving house. We did around 4 500 km all the way from Sydney to Cook-town. We lived a simple life I think since my parents washed me in the bucket next to fire. We visited my parents friends close to Sydney and my moms friends in Brisbane, it was a great break as I could play with their lovely kids. I had the chance to go to Steve Irwin’s (Crocodile Hunter) Zoo where I met a wombat, a few koalas and feed kangaroos. On my dads shoulders i visited lost of beautiful wild beaches, saw whales in the ocean, and lots of dead kangaroos near the road and some life one too
My mom has been told a lot that it’s a pity I would not remember our Australian adventure. Well, they are wrong. I will remember very well each bird crossing my path, whales bridging the water, singing leaves on the trees, walks in the jungle searching for wildlife sounds, baths in the bucket, my dad’s cooking in the campervan and every smiley face. That’s what will make me who I am so I will definitely remember that.
As for new tricks, I can send kisses, pretend to sneeze, wave, play peekaboo covering my ears instead of my eyes, do energy transfer with my index finger, and shake my head for happy Hulk. You may see them all soon on the next post.
Well enjoy the pictures hope they do tell the story.
Oh btw kids never fly with Australian airlines -they don’t allow strollers to gates.
Together with my mom and my grandparents we took off to Mexico for an adventure. I have to admit I loved everything about that country, loved the weather, turquoise warm water, powdery white sand beaches, happy welcoming people, iguanas (which btw my mom took more pictures of them than me). We spent long days on wild beaches, playing in the ocean, pools and discovering Mexico on daily trips. I got to know what snorkeling was about, saw my mom wearing crazy outfit while scuba diving, saw a cat for the first time and of course iguanas which weren’t interested in me. In terms of my new skills I practiced waving to people and smiling to everybody to get their attention. In the plane I got kidnapped by a Japanese couple and played with them for a good while. Enjoy the pictures, more pictures to come on my mom’s facebook.
Vegas it is. Together with my sister Amber (more about Amber in next post) I went to Nevada. I wasn’t allowed to gamble but I was allowed in the casino. I loved all the constant loud noises, tons of blinking lights and happy people, some of them were so happy that they couldn’t walk straight. We stayed in Luxor, where I did few hours of peeing Oops! playing in the pool. The main attractions however were parks. We hiked in Red Rocks Canyon, my stroller finally got some off road and dirt on it. I managed to get some bouldering and rock climbing there. We played on rocky surface in Zion National Park and admired the new bridge above Hover Dam. We also found a new friend called Shield Bug, he’s funny as when you role him onto his back his legs wriggle just like mine. Must remember to be “gentle” with bugs! In terms of new skills, hmmmm well I can sit nicely in the high chair, drink water from the straw and smile even more.
..so I finally got my passport after being rejected a few times due to my photographs not being correct, kind of ironic each time somebody is taking a picture of me they try to make me smile whereas once I smiled the passport office didn’t like it. Anyhow we went for my first adventure trip, well kind of second considering that I was in my moms belly while she was traveling to Mexico last year. I fell in love in our destination, Cuba. The warm weather, ocean’s sounds, wind’s whispers, palm trees lullabies and the friendless people sold me the place right away. I loved the plane ride, snoozing on the beach, playing all day outside, crazy 1957 taxi ride to Havana without seat belts, and I had my very first chocolate. My parents fell in love in Cuba especially with Havana and its lovey people, there will be more pictures on my parents blog from the trip. For now you can see how I spent my days there.
