Southeast Asia -Vietnam (part 4)

Vietnam was beautiful. The people are mega-friendly there, our taxi driver even allowed me to drive his car. Lots of people wear pyramid hats to protect them from the sun. I regret i didn’t take a picture in a hat like that, they look so cool. Our first stop was HoChiMinCity (Saigon). The city is booming, you can see lots of effort and money goes to that place. But there is still some little treasures you can find like a man fixing nests of electrical cables in a traditional way. :). We managed to find the “Bac Ho” monument and take a picture with HoChiMin.

Our second stop was gorgeous UNESCO heritage city HoiAn. My dad had a blast at the local market, mom with the camera and me running bare feet in the temple. We could of stayed there longer but it was time to catch a ride back to the boat. Well, enjoy the pictures as mom took tons of them.

Last but not least was the mysterious Hal-long Bay and Marble Mountain village. The weather wasn’t cooperating but still it was absolutely stunning. I was told that James was here…James Bond

You can see me holding a blue bag in the car, our taxi driver caught crickets for me so i don’t get bored in the car, my mom let them live at the Marble Mountain village :)

Southeast Asia -Thailand (part 3)

Thailand was warm. First stop was Ko Samui Island. Small island, very laid back, a nice beach and coast with friendly people. Water in the ocean was super warm but I wasn’t a big fan of the waves. Bangkok welcomed us with 40 degree heat, a 3 hour drive in the seatbeltless car then a magnificent emperor palace, crazy boat drive in the canals where we saw a few iguanas and how people live. Pleasant bike ride among heritage historical center outside of Bangkok. I felt like a celebrity, everybody wanted to have a picture with me, or of me.

Second day we spent in the Elephant conservation run by locals. I managed to get a ride on the elephant with my mom and jeez that was high and bumpy. At some point the elephant went deep into the water and we had to keep our feet up from the muddy looking pond. BTW the elephant hair was spiky. We saw silk worms, cows chilling in the water and had an awesome drive in an old landrover.

Check pictures to see for yourself, next post about Vietnam.

Southeast Asia -Living on the boat (part 2)

After Singapore we took off for an 11 day adventure on the boat. It became our little home where I was always looking forward to come back to after a busy day of exploring places. The easy part was that each day we woke up at the new place ready for a new adventure. We got to know wonderful people there. The staff was so friendly and they love kids. My favorite was Oki, he is holding me with his orange suit. Food was superb: pasta:masta, ricy:spicy…ye I was into making rhymes there. Our favorite place was deck 3 where we spent lots of time watching the ocean, little boats passing by and of course playing. Each port had its beauty, mostly industrial, so my dad was in heaven photographing all the port’s action. See for yourself. Next post about Thailand.

Southeast Asia – Singapore (part 1)

I have so much to say that I decided to divide the post into a few different ones.

This one will be about Singapore, then Thailand, Vietnam, Hong Kong and China. As well as life on the Boat in the end. Singapore was great, modern, hip and super, mega clean. We visited the fantastic zoo, where animals were running around pretty much free. Dad spotted few interesting lizards, snakes and spiders which made the zoo as their home but they were not part of the zoo deal. We stayed in a nice hotel where the swimming pool was all the way to the sky next to a giant metal wire tress. Chinatown was fun and little India was busy even late at night.
Singapore was easy to begin with, but as we progressed into the trip it got harder and harder … more about it later

Vegas and 45C Celsius (114 Fahrenheit) in Death Valley

Right after my birthday we took off to Las Vegas in Nevada. It was a last minute trip due to the great deal my mom found online…no wonder as it was 45 Celsius there. :)
Any how we had a great time visiting Death Valley National Park and enjoyed Vegas lights, food and night life (sleeping in the stroller)
See for yourself.

August with my sister

I had a blast with Amber. We had lots of adventures together from a road trip and camping on the west coast, more than a dozen beach days, 4 birthdays, 2 goodbye parties, plenty of restaurant time with great food, girls shopping day out, a day in the letterpress shop, gay parade…and many more…well you can see for your self….I am getting ready for Amber’s visit in Christmas and our new video project.

and little addition to the post:
Conversation in the elevator with my mom on the way home from my grandparents

Mom: Ginger it is already 7 o’clock, and you do know what that means right? …Bed time.
Ginger: ooo Mummy can you hear little voice “Ginger Ginger play with me” I think Ipad needs me.

Another Road Trip

Another summer, another great trip with my sister Amber. Yesterday we all got back from our road trip around Washington state. Below is our phone made video, filmed, edited and uploaded on the road from my moms phone so keep your expectations low. More pictures and info about my month with my sister is soon to come.
In terms of new skills: I can sing lots of songs but now I make up words to existing songs and make it rhyme, I can sit in the car for a 9 hour car ride and scream only if I don’t get cheese sticks, well the ipad is my car saver. I still can’t distinguish if I want “poop” or “little farts” but I go to washroom just encase in both cases. I can easily switch conversation from Polish to English or the other way around when is needed. Enjoy

San Francisco

Together with Babcia, Dziadzia and my mom, we went for another adventure. This time to San Francisco. To my, and my mom’s, surprise it was very cold and windy. We had an agenda full of attractions. I saw lots of sharks in the SF aquarium. Sea Lions in the bay, big red Golden Gate Bridge (well 1/2 in a fog) and Alcatraz where the naughty kids are kept, at least that was what i was told. We did hop in hop out bus which allowed us to visit the entire city without tiring my mom out from carrying me up the steep city hills. Crockett Lombard street was fun too, we even managed to stroll down behind the cars. Golden Gate Park had so many attractions that it was hard to choose. We saw Bison’s, Japanese Tea Garden where I threw pennies into the pond and the 100 years old windmills. On the last day we fought the cold and went to the outdoor pool, people were watching us in their winter jackets. Shortly before the flight we visited my moms jewelry Guru, Hadar Jacobson.
Enjoy the pictures

Celebrating Canada day in Whistler

Last Sunday we drove to Whistler to celebrate Canada day. Pick to Pick gondola took us high in the mountains where there is still snow and cold. We saw 3 black bears from the gondola and 2 big ones on the way home next to the road. It was a great day, sunny in the village and cloudy up in the gondola, there were times that i couldn’t see anything. Well see for yourself.

San Diego with Mimi and Leon

It was perfect adventure. Our moms cramped all the attractions possible from fantastic Zoo to long white beaches, known restaurants, museums, warships, playing in the pool, hanging around Santa Fe station and even driving to Mexican border. Zoo was incredible, elephants were giant (my favorite word now), giraffe humangus and gorillas monstrous big. The best however was panda I was waiting all day to finally see her at 3pm (3 hours past my nap) and I just collapsed for 2 hour long sleep afterwards. Another great attraction was Children’s Museum. Current exhibition was themed art in trash. One of my favorite was real rundown car which we were able to paint with big brushes and buckets of paint. The best however were beaches, endless strips of white sand. Mom seemed to planed it well taking yogurts container and plastic cups from the hotel to play in the sand or maybe she just forgot that there are plastic buckets and shuffles dedicated for that. Myself and Leon we were on the puffs diet, we took advantage of our relaxed moms and we ate it as much as allowed, well i took advantage of my kind aunty Mimi while my mom was driving and with sweet “more please” she couldn’t resist giving me more puffs. I cant wait for more trips with Mimi and little Leon.
