For Daddy’s birthday we took off to Tofino, taking perfect weather with us for 3 days. Three full days of running around Chesterman beach. Everybody was super happy, me going crazy with sand, water, and ice. Mom with photography (this is why there are not many pictures of her as the camera was glued to her). Dad was happy exploring beaches and looking for “bad lads” (bugs by Daddy).
My parents had some free time too, Dad reading and Mom playing with her new split camera app which made multiple Gingers on demand. The last day was epic. We built a massive ice castle, I almost lost my fingers from cold and Dad didn’t feel his for the next few hours. On the way home we stopped in the frosty forests to take even more pictures. You can see that all the photographs are either sunny-orange or snowy-white 😉
Tradition demands that I post a crystallized view, in 8 minutes phone quality video, of my 4th year. Enjoy!!!! ..and with my favourite background song

My first day of school was successful, I didn’t cry and my parents almost managed not to. First 2 weeks was uniform free and in the old school. Today we entered the new school with big enthusiasm and big smile on the faces wearing our uniforms. Fun!!!
At the end of the summer we had visitors from Montreal my dear Tia Rosa and Josee and from Toronto aunty Nancy. It was to my dad’s surprise that Rosa is not a Nun. Why? Mom has been calling her Sister for ages and since Mom doesn’t have a sister, Rosa must be a Nun
Mom has known Rosa for the last 20 years, since they both enjoyed living in London when they were young.
Anyhow we had lots of fun together, swimming, baking and exploring. Rosa is like a scientist, she loves experiments and my mom was just running behind us cleaning the mess 😉 ( just a little)
Mom met Nancy about 15 years ago in Vancouver. Nancy was a great climber and they did some epic climbing trips together.
We all celebrated mine and Rosa’s birthday together. It was small party this time, Grandparents, Greg and Tomo, Rosa, Jos, Nancy and of course parents.

Summer ends with great events. Over the last few weeks i was preparing myself to be baptised, mainly getting ready to have my head wet (this is why I don’t like learning how to swim). It was a very special event for me and my whole family. Parents, Grandparents, my dear uncle as my Godfather and aunty Tomo all from Vancouver as well as Ciocia Terrry, Wujcio Klaziu and my godmother Yvonka came for a visit from Kelowna. We all had lots of fun. Mom put a tour guide hat on, and the adventure started in the wilderness with grizzly bears, eating beaver tails and flying over Canada, there was no need for GPS (inside joke). The day before my ceremony my brother Jack and Viv came from the island, all family had lovely dinner together until we got kicked out from the restaurant (sober)
On Monday was the big photoshoot day where grandpa and little tweeny went “back to the future”. Then we admired contemporary art at the VAG, especially the one for $ 2.45 (inside joke).
It was time to say goodbye and hope to see each other soon. Thank you all for making my special day even more special.
As you can see my mom is catching up on posts. This summer we managed to see my idol Taylor Swift. You can see the concert from 2 different angles as we changed seats to get closer to the stage. Check it out, it was crazy good. Turn your speakers on.

There are 2 special reasons for this post. First as a memory from my trip to Europe and secondly, the fact that I am wearing my uncle’s shirt which he wore when he was 4 years old. (about 40 years ago)
The transitions are all over the place as heat, 12 hours of churches after museums and museums after churches ( don’t take me wrong I loved it) didn’t bring patience to the process of filming. It’s all wrapped up in my favourite song. Turn your speakers on and enjoy !:)

10 days in the wilderness with bears, deers, bisons, and mosquitoes. After 5200 km we are home, ready for showers, wifi and clean clothing. We had a blast!!! First with a great surprised we visited my family in Kelowna, finally I had a chance to play with my 2 furry cousins, and compete with uncle Klaus eating egs. Day after we took off. Every 1000 km we had a team hip hip hurray shout !!!. Jasper and Banff was rather wet and cold, 3 Celsius, felt like in the middle of the summer in Nunavut. We managed to sneak onto a glacier, that was cool and cold. Calgary was special in different way. 😉 We were happy to arrive at the next park which was Dinosaur Provincial Park. Fossils, fossils, fossils was the main word we were using for next 2 days. To see dinosaur bones spread all over was something unreal. Next was Waterton Lakes National Park with a black bear encounter, then Glacier National Park with stunning scenery (unfortunately some on fire) and finally our favourite, Yellowstone with bisons. Ask my mom why her already big eyes got even bigger and the engine had to start Last day was a time travel to Austria/Germany with my favourite Edelweiss from Sound of Music and 46 Celsius.
