Culture Crawl at Octopus with mommy

Last weekend was my 3rd Eastside Culture Crawl. My parent’s studio was featuring 14 artists. The whole time we had lots of fun. Over 1100 visitors came to the studio, my mom was dressed as a Princess (At least in my mind..) I have only one picture from the event, but it is a precious one.

A year in 6 minutes

I was planning to post this on my second birthday but didn’t manage it in time 😉 Here it is, 6 minutes of my year between my 1st and 2nd birthday. Keep your expectations low as it is just iphone quality and random stuff found on my mom’s phone.

First Trick or Treat and 3rd Halloween

On 31st was a day of chocolate. Mom allowed me to eat as much I wanted. Well, after one bar I was done anyway. Any how, after a great event at Day Care we went to Yaletown for Trick or Treating. At first I didn’t know what was going on but soon I figured out that I just need to say Trick or Treat and people will give me candy. It worked really well :) we walked for about an hour and my bag was full of chocolates, lolly pops and candy. I even met another Elephant in the same outfit as mine.

Check for yourself :)

..and prove of my trick or treating

3 mothers , 4 kids and one dad in a Los Angeles Adventure.

Mimi, Leon, Mommy and myself flew to LA to visit our Dearest Dana, Elliot, Liam and Deff (Jeff). We had a blast. Elliot has so many cool toys and a little dining table, a patio to play with bubbles, carpeted stairs and the softest rug in the world which I liked the most.
On the first day on the way to Dana we drove through Santa Monica and its wide sandy beach, then Toponga Canyon through the famous Mulholland Drive. I don’t think Moms enjoyed driving the highways as i heard lots of words I never heard before or maybe they were just very excited 😉

On the second day we spent all day on Hippie Venice beach in 36 Celsius. Nice ha? Elliot fell in love with ocean waters, Leon with eating sand, Liam with sleeping in my stroller and myself with destroying sand castles. The day after was the big LA day. We went to Griffith park to see the Observatory and the Hollywood sign. We took a hop on and off bus tour for 2 hours, sightseeing all the best of LA, and walked on the Hollywood Boulevard Stars. I found the Tom Cruise star and fell to my knees (see the picture). Together with Elliot we did some dancing with the stars while holding hands.

On the last day we relaxed at home and watched over poor Leon. It is a long story but to make it short, some nasty virus attacked him, not sure if it it was Halloween related or not.

It was very hard to say good bye but the good news is that Dana, Elliot and Liam are coming to Vancouver very soon.

Pumpkin patch

Just a quick post about last weekend in the pumpkin patch. The pictures say it all…..pumpkins everywhere. We had a chance to go to the farm and pick our own pumpkins, explore the farm and ride in the carriage :) I finished the day sleeping in an IKEA trolley.

Camping part 2..still as Jacque Cousteau

These pictures are taken by aunty Tomoko. Mom was happy to be on the pictures too :) thank you Tomoczko :)…and thanks to everybody for not telling me that my dolly’s skirt looks ridiculous on my head 😉

Being Jacque Cousteau and Our last camping this year.

Last weekend together with my Grandparents, Uncle Greg and Aunty Tomoko, we went to Whitbey island. We camped in the Rhododendron state park in the US in the most gorgeous forest. We took a ferry to Port Townsend and had the biggest ice cream i ever saw; we visited old historic part of Coopevile where I saw catfish and lots of fishki. On the campsite I helped uncle Greg with fire, gathering little sticks. Tomoczko was my private photographer :) all the pictures she took will be in the next post. This one has just my moms phone photography. Greg was entertaining us with fashion show. And I tried some cat walk moves too in my mom’s jacket.
Sleeping in the tent was a blast, the night was cold but I had all the layers possible and I slept in my jacket, next to Babcia and Dziadzia.
Oh and the Jacque Cousteau part in the title blog came from my dolls skirt which i decided to wear all weekend.
On the way home we were part of The 2012 Oyster run (motorcyclist’s gathering) by being stacked among thousands of motorbikes on the highway.

Vegas and 45C Celsius (114 Fahrenheit) in Death Valley

Right after my birthday we took off to Las Vegas in Nevada. It was a last minute trip due to the great deal my mom found online…no wonder as it was 45 Celsius there. :)
Any how we had a great time visiting Death Valley National Park and enjoyed Vegas lights, food and night life (sleeping in the stroller)
See for yourself.
